We spent time relaxing...
swimming...learning to swim...sink or swim Elaina!
We went down this water slide a hundred times!
Oh, and relaxed...in the pool!
We took advantage of the Give a Day, Get a Disney Day Volunteer program. You can't beat a free day at Disneyland. It was a lot of fun and the weather was great! I think we all had a really good time...
well, almost all of us! :0)

April started out with a fun April Fools Day. Elaina made "lunch" for her daddy! It was fish sticks and peas, that tasted rather sweet. Today, we colored Easter eggs. Sydney dove right in... literally! Her hands are still a rainbow of color. Although Elaina was a bit more careful, she too, is Easter eggish!

January 9, 2010
Elaina had her first violin recital, since she started lessons in September. She is amazing! She really has a fantastic teacher! Anyway, as you can see, she is the youngest student. She played very well, and was very brave. During warm-up, her bow broke. It was devastating for her. However, she borrowed one of her teacher's bows, which was huge for her. She did wonderful, though. I am proud of you Elaina! You rock! The video I included is called "Little Lulliby." It was Elaina's favorite song to play.
Well, I guess it is time to catch up on the last month. We had a good Christmas at home this year. We have had a fair amount of snow to play in. The girls are so fun... when they get along with one another! Ha! Anyway, we have been doing well.

This Halloween, we dressed up like Danny Zuko, Sandra Dee, Frenchie and Marti, from the movie GREASE. It was a lot of fun. Josh had to work, but we were able to trick or treat with him for about a half an hour. then, I took the girls trick or treating for a little while after Josh left. We hung out at Grandma's house for the traditional chili and doughnuts. I love Halloween... not so much for the holiday, but for the dressing up! It is a blast. The girls had fun too.

We recently took a few days and drove to Bakersfield, to visit Ooma and Corkey and Great Grandma Fraser. We had a a lot of fun. They took us to Murray Family Farms and had fun going through a corn maze, taking a tour of the farm, playing in an Ant maze, getting the girls faces painted, visiting the petting zoo and even picking out a pumpkin. We had fun. The weather was so nice, it was hard to come back to Idaho weather. Of course, I was sick the whole time I was there, and hope I didn't pass along my yucky bug. If I did, I am sorry you guys. Jeff and Michelle brought over a bounce house, and the kids had a blast playing in it all day. And how silly are we, we didn't get any pictures with Ooma and Corkey, or Grandma Fraser. It was good to see them anyway. We hit some pretty yucky, windy, snowy weather on our trip home. But made it back without incident. Sure is a long drive.

In preparation for Halloween, the girls and I practiced putting on make-up and dressing up. I put on one of my old dresses from senior ball, in high school and let the girls go to town on my make-up. They did, too. I had lipstick caked on my nose and forehead, and glitter gel in my ears. We had a blast. Elaina laughed everytime she added another layer of make-up to my face. Syd was rather serious. She was going to do it just so. I guess she did get a bit giggly when it came time to make-up the inside of my ears. Anyway, I made sure to add some lipstick to Syd's eyebrows, too. Well, when bath-time rolled around, I discovered that the lipstick doesn't wash off too well. In other words, I wore A LOT of foundation today! These girls are so stinking cute. After their bath, I rolled their hair in foam curlers and they slept in them. I told Elaina how I used to wear curlers when I was young. She asked me, "When you wore them, were they really uncomfortable and hard to sleep in?" I laughed and assured her that you get used to them.

September 2009

I have one question for you? Are you backing up your data? I have learned my lesson and am now being more diligent in backing up my data. Our hard drive crashed a couple of weeks ago. As a result, we lost EVERYTHING!! Mostly, we lost pictures from the past couple of years. So, be smarted than me and back it up!! So, with that said, here are some recent photos. Unfortunately, I don't have pics of Elaina's birthday, which was last month. Can you believe it? She is six years old. We were outside last night watching the girls ride their bikes. I was amazed at how quickly they have grown. Sydney turned three on Saturday. WE had a ducky party for her. It was a lot of fun. We have been quite busy as a family. As many of you know, I like to sew and create. Well, with the inspiration of my friend Tiffany, I started selling my stuff on ETSY.com. (www.jomiwilliams.etsy.com) Actually, I should clarify...I haven't sold anything yet. However, it is out there. I am having a lot of fun designing my own stuff. Actually, I guess I have been designing my own stuff for a while; mostly for my girls. (like the dress Elaina is wearing in the last post.) Anyway, Elaina started taking violin lessons. She has a great teacher and is enjoying it so far. I hope she continues with it. She is already such a cute little violinist! Well, here are some pics from this month:

Elaina performed color songs with her classmates at Barnes and Noble on Saturday. There was a book fair there, to raise money for her school.

Syd and I take a pic after her party.

Syd blows out the candles on her ducky cake.

Here is a handbag I designed. Check it out on my ETSY shop.

Elaina gets stitches

Today started as an ordinary Sunday. We got dressed up and went to church... Chilled out the rest of the afternoon...then it was bath time. Elaina soaped up her face and wanted to see it in the mirror. So, while I left the room to get a towel, she stood on the side of the tub and slipped off and cut her chin on the sink. She was a very brave girl. She was even more brave when her daddy came. Seven stitches later and she was all fixed up. She wanted me to take pictures so she could see what it looked like. She amazes me everyday. Sydney was totally mortified when she saw the cut and all of the blood. I don't think Syd would be asking me to take pictures had it been her chin.

Sydney doesn't seem to like heights. The first time she crossed this bridge, she was holding on to every bar across. This time she felt okay as long as she walked with her knees bent. It made me smile. She is a funny little girl.
Elaina is having a ball playing soccer this summer. We had a time-out. Daddy helped Laina tie her shoe!
This is Elaina and her friends. They got board sitting on the sidelines. So, they played their own little game, while their teammates were on the field.
Here is Elaina and her cousins, Zac and Peep. Elaina and Peep played each other's team on their first game of the season.
